Community Development
The An-Nur Mosque Network is a mosque built and endowed by the JCorp Group and Waqaf An-Nur. MAINJ appointed Waqaf An-Nur as a Special Nazir to manage the operations of 7 institutional mosques in the Johor Bahru and Pasir Gudang districts. Three of these mosques are located in business complexes while the other four are community mosques.
Masjid Sultan Iskandar, Bandar Dato’ Onn continues to be one of the iconic mosques in the state of Johor and has been recognized by the Malaysia Tourism Quality Assurance (MyTQA) as a Tourism Mosque by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC). The opening of the IIC marks the peak of efforts in da'wah to encourage more tourists from within and outside the country to visit Sultan Iskandar Mosque. The IIC, which is now under the supervision of the Waqaf An-Nur Da'wah Unit, not only serves as a tourist visitation site but also as a place for new converts to deepen their understanding of Islam. The IIC serves as a medium for da'wah to bring the outside community, especially non-Muslims and new converts, closer through various activities held.
